ABOUT SHIVA
WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER AND CONSERVATIONIST
SHIVA IS A WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER FROM THE UK WHO USES PHOTOGRAPHY TO SUPPORT CONSERVATION THROUGH THE SALE OF HER WORK.

“My aim is to use photography to raise awareness about conservation issues, inspire people to take steps however small to protect our natural world and to cultivate hope by sharing stories of wildlife projects whilst supporting them. It is the sense of hope through our compassionate connection with nature which is vital for preserving and protecting our natural world. We owe it to ourselves and to our future generations, without it, we lose so much of life that is worth living for; but as long as we have hope, we have a chance.”
“I want to share the beauty of our natural world by bringing it into our homes, connecting us with the wild across all borders. By purchasing the artwork, you are directly supporting conservation as 20% of all profits are donated to wildlife initiatives and organisations at the forefront of protecting our most threatened species in the wild.”
ABOUT ME
PHOTOGRAPHER BIO
I am a healthcare professional by vocation but my journey into photography began in my twenties, developing at first as a creative and therapeutic outlet. Over time, I explored many forms of photography from newborn and family portraiture to pets. However, my deepest passion has always been with the natural world. Wildlife photography became the truest expression of that calling and during the pandemic, I immersed myself in photographing native British wildlife.
My family heritage gave me the privilege of travelling to Tanzania and Kenya in my childhood, planting early seeds of connection with Africa's wildlife and landscapes. In the summer of 2022, more than two decades later, I returned with a new purpose; to experience and document African wildlife and to witness first- hand the conservation efforts of organisations I had long supported.

This journey was transformative. I visited my foster elephant Long’uro at Reteti and participated in a volunteering programme at Ol Pejeta Conservancy home to the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos on the planet, followed by a visit to the Maasai Mara for the Great Migration. I left this trip forever changed; inspired and even more compelled to make a difference and impact with the tools I have at my disposal, my camera.
